Henderson Police Department Arrest 2 for Narcotics


On Tuesday, May 5, 2015, members of the Henderson Police Department in conjunction with the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation arrested two individuals in the Henderson community for possession of narcotics.

Xerxus Rashad Belvin

Xerxus Rashad Belvin, 36, 1008 Shirley Drive, Henderson was found to be in possession of 50.8 grams of methamphetamine commonly known as “Molly.” Belvin was charged with one count of trafficking methamphetamine by transportation, and one count of trafficking methamphetamine by possession.

Stephon Chavis

Stephon Chavis

Stephon Chavis, 47, 152 Brookehaven Court Henderson, was found in possession of 17 bindles of heroin. Chavis was charged with one count of possession with the intent to manufacture, sell and/or deliver heroin.

Belvin was placed in the Vance County Jail after failing to post a 250,000.00 secured bond. Chavis was placed in the Vance County Jail after failing to post a 10,000.00 secured bond. Preliminary hearings have been set for both individuals on May 14, 2015.
