Planning Board OKs division of lots

The Henderson Planning Board held a brief meeting Monday afternoon to approve a subdivision involving 22.38 acres in the Extra-Territorial Jurisdiction off Parham Road.

The subdivision, sought by Alan’s Surveying on behalf of the heirs of William H. Hughes, was brought before on the board on a technicality: One of the parcels after the division was only 1 acre. The subdivision involved splitting a large lot into two pieces of 10 and 11 acres, adding half an acre to a second lot to make it a full acre, and increasing an easement across the back of the properties.

Subdivision is typically an administrative procedure that must be granted if all of the requirements are met. The requirements were met, and the board unanimously approved the subdivision.
