There was one new filing in Vance County today.

Michael Inscoe filed today for the Henderson City Council Ward 2 At Large seat.

So far, the only contested Henderson race is that of mayor, with incumbent Pete O’Geary opposed by two challengers.

Although the mayor presides over meetings of the Henderson City Council, the position is by far the weakest politically, as the mayor may only cast a vote in the event of a tie of voting council members.
