City land planning committee to meet Friday
The Henderson City Council’s Land Planning & Development Committee will meet on Friday, August 21, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. in the City Hall Conference Room at 134 Rose Avenue in Henderson, North Carolina. The item slated for discussion is the former Beacon Light apartment complex.
Golden LEAF meeting offers criticisms, strategy
The number of attendees at yesterday’s meeting of the Golden LEAF Initiative far exceeded the capacity of the small auditorium in Vance-Granville Community College’s Building 2.
HPD makes arrest for burglary
On August 8, 2009 at approximately 11:00 p.m. Henderson Police Department officers responded to a report of a breaking and entering and larceny which occurred at 160 S. Bullock Street.
Vance board of ed. committee meets Wednesday
The Vance County Board of Education’s Policy Committee will meet on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at 12:30 p.m. at the Administrative Services Center at 1724 Graham Avenue in Henderson, North Carolina. No agenda for the meeting was provided. All meetings are held in the Superintendent’s Conference Room.
Police arrest suspect for B&E
On August 17, 2009 at approximately 11:15 a.m., members of the Henderson Police Department responded to 227 W. Belle Street in reference to a report of a breaking and entering in progress.

Purdue signs Racial Justice Act
