Earlier, the article “von Williams, family, accuse SRO” reported that Deryl von Williams had stated that attorney Mike Satterwhite had contacted Judge Henry Banks. This was a factual error. In fact, von Williams reported that juvenile intake officer Terry Satterwhite had contacted Judge Henry Banks. We apologize to Mr. Mike Satterwhite for this mistake.

Mayor: water storage contract on table

Stanley “Tookie” Williams, co-founder of the notorious “Crips” gang, is scheduled to be executed early Tuesday if not granted a stay of execution. To repeat a question raised at Thursday’s gang awareness seminar, can we expect a reaction here in Henderson if the execution goes on as scheduled? Or is our gang problem not as serious as that?
