Vance County’s Public Safety Committee is scheduled to meet this Friday, February 1 at 12:00 Noon in the County Manager’s Office.

The Vance County Water District will be conducting a sign up meeting on Tuesday September 25, 2012 from 6:30 PM until 8:30 PM at the Hicksboro Fire Department ANNEX at 2589 Thomas Road.  People interested in taking advantage of the reduced tap fee of $125.00 should consider attending this meeting.

The County water project has begun water line construction for Phase 1A in the Sandy Creek Township area.  Recently the County signed an agreement to purchase water from the City of Henderson which will allow construction to begin in Phases 2A and 2B where your property is located.  It is anticipated that construction could begin in your area within the next 6 months or less. The Vance County Board of Commissioners’ September meeting has been changed to the SECOND Monday (September 10) due to the Labor Day Holiday falling on the first Monday.  This change was approved during the August board meeting.
