A new report finds that Vance-Granville Community College is among the top 25 community colleges in the nation awarding associate degrees in certain Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) fields to Latino students. Class of 2012’s ACT Scores Top National Average for Fifth Consecutive Year
North Carolina students again posted a 21.9 average ACT composite score in 2012, the same average as the Class of 2011 and the Class of 2010, according to the 2012 ACT report released Wednesday. This marks the fifth consecutive year that the state’s average ACT score has been higher than the national average score on this college admission exam. Vance County Schools – State Funding for Student Breakfasts
For the 2012-2013 school year, the Vance County Schools’ Child Nutrition program again will be able to offer breakfasts free of charge to students qualifying for reduced price breakfasts. Funds are available to provide the free breakfasts for qualifying students through action taken last summer by the N.C. General Assembly.
