On Thursday, April 10, 2014, members of the Henderson Police Department Special Operations Division and the Vance County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at 744 Parham Road, Henderson. Officers arrested Mark Anthony Davis and Lawanda Joyce Ragland. Davis and Ragland were occupants of the residence. During the search, officers recovered 52 pounds of marijuana, a marijuana grow operation, several firearms, United States currency and other drug related paraphernalia. Suspect Arrested in Shooting at Chestnut and Church Street Friday
On April 11, 2014 around 2:26 PM officers with the Henderson Police Department were in the area of Church Street and Chestnut Street, in Henderson, when the officers heard shots being fired. Officers located an 18 year-old victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Officers were also able to locate the suspect and took him immediately into custody. Gas prices jump 15 cents in North Carolina
AAA Carolinas says the average price of gas in the state has jumped 15 cents in the last month from $3.38 on March 8 to $3.53 on Tuesday (yesterday).
