Vance-Granville Community Band presents free Spring Concert
The Vance-Granville Community Band will perform its annual spring concert on Saturday, April 13. The program will begin at 6 p.m. in the Civic Center on VGCC’s Main Campus in Vance County. Forest Service is urging residents throughout the state to think about safety and exercise caution during the upcoming fire season, which typically lasts statewide mid-March through mid-May. Shot Fired at Maria Parham Medical Center, Subject Arrested.
On March 7, 2013 around 6:00 PM officers with the Henderson Police Department who were conducting security of a mental patient at Maria Parham Medical Center, 566 Ruin Creek Road, Henderson heard a gunshot come from a restroom in the emergency room. Officers immediately responded and detained a male subject. Subject was arrested and has been charged with discharging a firearm into an occupied building.
