City’s Public Safety Committee to meet Oct. 19
The Henderson City Council’s Public Safety Committee will meet on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers in City Hall, 134 Rose Avenue, in Henderson, North Carolina. The purpose of the meeting is to continue discussions on the graffiti ordinance and the animal control ordinance. The meeting is open to the public.

Carolyn Harris, Vance County Schools’ Principal of the Year Carolyn Harris, who has been the principal at New Hope Elementary School for three years, has been selected as the Vance County Schools’ Principal of the Year for 2010-2011.

HPD sergeant arrested for larceny
Today at approximately 7:00 p.m. Detective Sergeant Kendall Riddick, 35, was arrested by members of the Henderson Police Department and the NC State Bureau of Investigation for larceny.
