Clarke Elementary School officially dedicated
Officials from the North Carolina Assembly, the Vance County Board of Commissioners, the Vance County Board of Education, and the city of Henderson turned out en masse for yesterday’s dedication of the new Clarke Elementary School located on Mt. Carmel Church Road in southern Vance County, North Carolina.

The Vance County Board of Commissioners’ Human Resources Committee will meet on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at 5:30 p.m. in the officer of County Manager Jerry Ayscue. High speed rail comment period extended
Raleigh -— Due to the volume of comments received, North Carolina, Virginia and the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) have extended the comment period on the Tier II Draft Environmental Impact Statement, which covers the portion of the Southeast High Speed Rail (SEHSR) corridor between Richmond, Virginia and Raleigh, North Carolina.
