Here is a memo from Henderson’s Department of Public Works outlining changes in sanitation service that will occur with the beginning of the new fiscal year on July 1, 2008:

Sheriff’s Office will receive a CounterAct officer/Community Watch officer and a litter enforcement officer Although the chair of the Vance County Board of Commissioners Danny Wright began the meeting by stating that it was not a time for the county to be adding new positions, the board indicated by four to three that it wished to add two law enforcement positions to the Vance County Sheriff’s Office.
