Rollins Elementary School will be temporarily relocated to L.B. Yancey Elementary School. Lesile Joe Grissom, missing since July 8, 2007 Lesile Joe Grissom, 19, 104 lbs., 5″4′, was last seen at approximately 1:00 or 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 8, 2007, in the Epsom area on Weldon Mill Road. Grissom is a Caucasian female. She was wearing blue jeans, white shoes, and a red Adidas jacket. NC First Lady visits Henderson
It was reported to Home in Henderson early this morning that First Lady Mary Easley was scheduled to visit the Aycock Recreation Center at 10:00 a.m. today and the H. Leslie Perry Memorial Library at 11:00 a.m. No further details are available at this time. However, we are certain that The Daily Dispatch was notified of the visit in a timely fashion and will provide complete and accurate coverage in tomorrow’s edition.

Peace objects to City turning down gift
During the public comment portion of yesterday’s regular meeting of the Henderson City Council, Henderson property owner Sam Peace offered objections to members regarding the Land Planning and Development Committee’s decision to reject the gift of Coleman Place Pond to the City.
