RFL fundraiser April 3
The North Henderson Baptist Church will be holding a yard sale, bake sale, and individual plate breakfast sale on Saturday, April 3, 2010 from 7:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. The event will take place inside the fellowship hall of the church. The North Henderson Baptist Church is located at 1211 North Garnett Street in Henderson, North Carolina.
County committee to meet Thursday
The Vance County Board of Commissioners’ Planning/Environmental Committee is scheduled to meet on Thursday, April 1 at 3:00 p.m. in the office of County Manager Jerry Ayscue to discuss solid waste matters. Ayscue’s office is located at 122 Young Street in Henderson, North Carolina.
Solid waste removal schedule for Good Friday
The City of Henderson will observe the Good Friday holiday on April 2, 2010. Household trash, recyclables, and yard debris scheduled for pick up on Friday, April 2, 2010 will be collected on Thursday, April 1, 2010.

The City of Henderson’s Employee Recognition Banquet (where Mrs. Editor was rewarded for her fifteen years of meritorious service) wore me out last night, so I’m going to take a few days off. Now that I have a pretty good foothold in my fifth decade of life, I’m discovering that I’m allergic to things that never bothered me before. For example, Zyrtec has become my new best friend.
