Joint intergovernmental committee meets Thursday
The Joint Intergovernmental Committee is scheduled to meet on Thursday, February 11, 2010 at 3:30 p.m. at City Hall to discuss joint funding. This committee is comprised of members from the Henderson City Council and the Vance County Board of Commissioners. Henderson City Hall is located at 134 Rose Avenue in Henderson, North Carolina.

The Vance County Board of Commissioners’ General Government Committee meeting that was originally scheduled for this past Monday (that was cancelled due to the weather) has been rescheduled for today, Monday, February 8 at 12:00 p.m. in the office of County Manager Jerry Ayscue. Ayscue’s office is located in the County Administration Building at 122 Young Street in Henderson, North Carolina. No agenda for the meeting was provided.

Stew sale at Bearpond VFD
The Bearpond Volunteer Fire Department will be having a stew sale this Saturday, February 6, 2010. Stew will be ready for pick up at 9:00 a.m. at a cost of $7 per quart. The Bearpond VFD is located at 325 Bearpond Road in Henderson. Questions may be directed to Chief Raymond Finch at 252.226.6734.
