This from a long-time reader: “[Hight was] a true local hero that gave 110 percent. He was a true character and a gentle soul that put up with the antics of large and small citizens. Ethridge to visit Henderson
Congressman Bob Etheridge will be visiting Henderson Fire Station No. 1 on 211 Dabney Drive, on Monday, February 4 at 3:30 p.m. According to a release from City Clerk Dianne white, the visit is in connection with a recent grant award.

The Vance County Board of Commissioners will meet in special closed session tomorrow, January 25 at 4:00 p.m. to discuss a personnel matter. According to County Clerk Kelly Grissom, no action will be taken at the meeting.
