How will it benefit our community? What changes must we make? Your thoughts on this or any other topic are welcome on our open line.

We’d hoped to bring you a story on last night’s city council meeting, but technical difficulties and general fatigue got in the way. Let’s just say it was pretty routine. We’re disappointed that we haven’t heard from Miles yet this week. If any potential columnists want to step up to the bat, now is your time to shine! With that, the spotlight is yours.

We’re sorry that we missed Friday’s open line, but we were busy at the hospital getting X-rayed and such. There is a service outage scheduled for midnight Saturday so that we can resolve some service issues with AOL users on the site. We hope to be up and running just as soon as the technicians resolve the problem. As always, we appreciate your patronage and your patience.

The Public Utilites Committee will meet at 4:00 p.m. at City Hall. We were very surprised by yesterday’s city council meeting on a number of fronts. We were amazed that no one spoke at the public hearing regarding the Amortization Ordinance, and we were frankly shocked that there was no debate regarding the city’s new vehicle use policy. Was it because the meeting was on Wednesday, or was it the full moon, or some combination of the two? Let your …
