Hot dog supper at Union Chapel United Methodist
There will be a hot dog supper tonight at Union Chapel United Methodist Church. For only $3.00, you can get a hot dog, drink, chips, and a dessert. The proceeds will go to rebuild the sanctuary which was destroyed by fire.
US 98.3 searching for homegrown bands
US 98.3 is developing a show that will focus on local bands from Vance, Granville, Franklin, Wake, Durham, Orange, Person, and Warren Counties in North Carolina, and Mecklenburg, Brunswick, and Pittsylvania Counties in Virginia.

Crime Stoppers fund raiser at Chex
The Henderson-Vance Crime Stoppers will be holding a fund raiser beginning today through September 9 at Chex Truck World. During the event, Chex will donate five cents for every gallon of gasoline and diesel purchased, as well as five percent of restaurant sales.
