Henderson Police Department targets Alcohol, Drug and Traffic Violations in Special Operation
On March 1 and March 2, 2013 members of the Henderson Police Department in conjunction with the North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement Agency conducted the Henderson Community Betterment Special Operation. The operation targeted alcohol, drug, and traffic violations in areas surrounding establishments that sell tobacco and alcohol. During the operation fifty-seven (57) individuals were arrested with eighty-eight (88) charges being issued. Five firearms were seized, and a federal arrest warrant was served. The U.S. Treasury Department recognizes North Carolina as a national leader in implementing the State Small Business Credit Initiative, according to Commissioner for Small Business Scott Daugherty.
