Search Warrant Nets Drugs and Stolen Firearm

$1.6 Million Contract Awarded For New Franklin County Bridge

RALEIGH — The N.C. Department of Transportation has awarded a $1.6 million contract to United Contractors LLC of Great Falls, SC to build a new bridge over the Tar River on Sims Bridge Road northwest of Louisburg in Franklin County. The project will replace a 59-yar-old bridge that is considered structurally deficient.
