Etheridge to select HS junior page
Raleigh — U.S. Rep. Bob Etheridge (D-Lillington) today announced he is sponsoring an essay contest to select a high school junior from the 2nd Congressional District for nomination as a Congressional Page in the U.S. House of Representatives for spring 2007.

Commissioners vote, approve lottery fund application

Every Child Ready to Read Parent/Teacher Workshop
The workshop will take place this Saturday November 4 at 2:00 p.m., and it is designed for parents, caregivers, and teachers of children ages 2-3. The program is limited to 35 parents and teachers, and it will provide helpful tips, handouts, and giveaways that will help parents and teachers with reading to children.
