Shooting Case On August 3, 2015 around 12:21 AM officers with the Henderson Police Department responded to Highland Green Apartments, 111 S. Pinkston Street Henderson, NC in reference to shots being fired.  While in route, officers were advised that there was a 9 year-old female that was transported by a personal vehicle to a local medical facility with injuries. VGCC to offer two-semester Logistics Management certificate

Vance-Granville Community College is offering a certificate program in Logistics Management in a new format that will allow students to complete the credential through 12-week courses over two semesters. Henderson Police Seek Information on Found Body

On Saturday, September 5, 2015, members of the Henderson Police Department responded to the 100 block of Pinkston Street, Henderson in response to a deceased individual.  Officers arrived on scene and found an individual lying near the roadway. Willard Harris Crosson, 44, 430 Vicksboro Road, Henderson was pronounced deceased at the scene. Data released Wednesday by the N.C. Department of Public Instruction for the 2014-2015 school year is encouraging for the Vance County School System. Eight Vance County Schools increased performance by one letter grade as determined by the state required School Performance grading system. The four-year cohort graduation rate increased by more than four percentage points from the previous school year.
