The Endowment Fund at Vance-Granville Community College makes an ongoing effort to connect the students who receive endowed scholarships with the donors who made those scholarships possible and with the people in whose honor they were established. On Tuesday, July 30, 2014, members of the Henderson Police Department Criminal Investigation Division and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation arrested Robert-Korey White, 31, 666 Vance Street, Henderson. White was charged with one count of trafficking heroin. White was charged after a traffic stop in which officers located 150 bricks(7,500 dosage units) of heroin. VGCC to offer new Robotics certificate to adult and high school students
A new certificate program in “Robotics and Machine Design” will be offered by Vance-Granville Community College when the fall semester begins on Aug. 17. The certificate is part of the Mechatronics Engineering Technology degree program, based at VGCC’s South Campus.
