That said, we did spot this article in this morning’s Washington Post, and we thought it would interest everyone back home in Henderson. Obviously, Vance County is a far cry from Prince William County, a growing Washington suburb with plenty of excess affluence, but it’s worth noting that other counties are willing to pay someone more than $70,000 a year to do what the Clean Up Henderson Committee does free of charge: anything and everything to encourage people to make our hometown a nicer place for all of us to live.
