The following press release was received from Police Chief Glen Allen of the Henderson Police Department:
On Thursday, April 13, 2006 at 6:00 AM, officers of both the Police and Sheriff’s Departments met at the Henderson Police Department at 200 Breckenridge Street for an operational briefing. “Operation Gateway” involves attempting to locate and arrest approximately fifty-one (51) high-level, mid-level, and street-level drug dealers for whom warrants have been obtained following a seven-month undercover operation.
This is the largest number of suspected offenders identified in such a single local operation in recent history.
