An Independence Day fireworks celebration will be held tomorrow, July 1 at Satterwhite Point Park from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Besides fireworks, the event will feature a lighted boat parade, food vendors, and the opportunity to acquire glow sticks and tee-shirts.
Also, there will be live entertainment by Al Williams and the Assembly Band.
No admission will be charged. Guests are urged to come early and enjoy an afternoon and evening at the lake.
A free “Park and Ride” shuttle service will be provided from the parking lot of Rose’s Department Store on Norlina Road from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Return shuttles will begin departing at 10:00 p.m. from Satterwhite Point Park.
The rain date is July 2.
