Henderson Mayor Pro-Tem Ranger Wilkerson called a special meeting of the Henderson City Council to be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall.
The meeting was called during the FAIR (Finance and Intergovernmental Relations ) Committee meeting yesterday. All eight City Council members were in attendance, and it was reported that none objected to the meeting.
Two items are slated for discussion at the extraordinary meeting:
* A recommendation to the legislature that the City of Henderson be added to Senate Bill 1507.
It is presumed that the City will request that it be exempt from the strictures regarding when it may perform housing inspections.
* The Council will also discuss an amendment to the City Ordinance regarding the Certificate of Occupancy.
