IDEU busts two for cocaine


Henderson Police Chief K.L. Sidwell and Vance County Sheriff Peter White reported in a press release today that members of the Interagency Drug Enforcement Unit executed two separate search warrants.

One warrant was served at 916 Abbott Street and the other was served at 835 Champion Street.

The search warrants were executed after citizen complaints of drug sales occurring at these locations.

Cocaine, digital scales, and other drug paraphernalia were seized during the searches.

The individuals listed below were arrested and charged:

Brandon Cheek, 20, of 916 Abbott Street in Henderson, was charged with possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $10,000 and his court date is July 16, 2007.

Brian Burton, 24, of 835 Champion Street in Henderson, was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine. His bond was set at $15,000 and his court date is also July 16, 2007.

The investigation is continuing into these locations and more arrests are pending.
