HR Commission, NAACP meet
The Henderson-Vance Human Relations Commission, chaired by Janice Jeffreys, and the Vance County NAACP, led by Terry Garrison, president, held a public meeting Thursday evening in the City Council Chamber.
ABC & AYP results to be released Sep. 6
In a news release from the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, it was learned yesterday that ABC (Accountability, Basics, and local Control) and AYP (Adequate Yearly Progress) results will be released on September 6.
