Henderson City Council member Bernard Alston, who chairs the Human Relations Committee, announced at the November 19, 2007 meeting of the Council that questionnaires would be distributed to city employees to evaluate upper management and the City Council.
Alston said the surveys would provide feedback on how city departments are running.
Interim City Manager Ed Wyatt commented that he hopes [the survey] will be beneficial to employee relations. He mentioned that there are plans to meet with employee groups and hear thoughts.
Wyatt said that this would not usurp department heads, but rather help the city function better “as a team”.
