City Engineer Frazier promoted


Frank Frazier, Interim Assistant City Manager, has been named Assistant City Manager — Water Resources and Public Services, effective immediately by Ed Wyatt, Henderson Interim City Manager.

Frazier was first employed with the City of Henderson as an Engineering Technician in February of 1985. Since then, he has received a number of promotions, including the title City Engineer in 1990.

He has been Interim Assistant City Manager since September 2007 when then Assistant City Manager Mark Warren resigned.

Wyatt, in making the appointment, said that “Frank Frazier has been a most excellent city official who has brought great credit to himself and his work through his knowledge, dedication and excellent interpersonal skills”.

In his new position, he will be especially responsible for advancing a number of areas in water resources programs and projects, including storm water management, addressing compliance issues, coordinating a number of major capital projects, and utility rate design. Additionally, he will take a leadership role in addressing the water needs of Henderson and other jurisdictions in the region.

Frazier was in the first class of Leadership Vance in 1990. Also, he was a member of the Quick Response Team of the Vance County Economic Development Commission. He is a member of the American Public Works Association.

The Granville County native graduated from J.F. Webb High School in Oxford. Frazier was educated at Vance-Granville Community College and at Wake Tech Community College in Civil Engineering.

The newly promoted Frazier is very active in community life. He is president of the North Granville Athletic Association. Also, he is treasurer of Peace’s Chapel Baptist Church where he has also served as a deacon.

He and his wife, Sherri, have two children, Mitchell and Chad.
