HPD looking for alleged appliance thief


On April 24 and April 25, 2008, several manufactured home were entered at Clayton Homes on Ross Mill Road.

Taken during these breaking and enterings were numerous appliances have an approximate total value of $5,000.

After an investigation conducted by members of the Henderson Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division, the suspect listed below was arrested and charged:

James Henry Moss, 33
1542 Southerland Mill Road
Henderson, NC
Charges: Breaking and entering (six counts), possession of stolen goods (six counts)
Court date: June 9, 2008
Bond: $180,000 secured

Detectives also recovered a GE refrigerator and a GE stove having a total value of $1,000.

Members of the Criminal Investigations Division also have outstanding warrants on Sherman Eugene West, 26, a white male residing at 1010 S. Garnett Street for breaking and entering and larceny as well as possession of stolen goods in connection with the April breaking and enterings that occurred at Clayton Homes.
