HPD scores meth bust


Chief K.L. Sidwell of the Henderson Police Department reported that members of his department’s Narcotics Unit conducted an investigation which lead to a traffic stop on July 28, 2008.

This investigation and stop resulted in the seizure of one quarter kilo or 240 grams of “crystal meth”, the most potent and addictive form of methamphetamine. The street value of the “crystal meth” seized was approximately $24,000.

Also seized was marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The individual listed below was arrested and charged.

Charges: Trafficking of methamphetamine by possession, trafficking of methamphetamine by transportation, manufacture of methamphetamine, maintaining a vehicle for a controlled substance, and possession of marijuana

The investigation is continuing and more arrests are pending.
