Rally today over convenience store murder

Home in Henderson received word early this morning that a rally will be held at 12:00 p.m. today in the parking lot of the Vance County Sheriff’s Office in response to the Friday night slaying of convenience store clerk Sadeq Ali Mohammed Alashimali in Williamsboro.

According to a message left with HiH‘s editor and a comment post on yesterday’s Vance County Board of Commissioners video post, those assembled will be asking county officials for “law enforcement to be proactive in trying to prevent this kind of senseless act in the future”.

Organizers plan to meet with Vance County Sheriff Peter White and District Attorney Sam Currin.
