On December 5, 2008, at approximately 2:43 p.m., officers of the Henderson Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery at RBC Centura Bank located at 1207 Dabney Drive.
Upon arrival, officers found that a suspect had entered the bank armed with a handgun and demanded money. An undisclosed amount of money was taken.
The suspect left the bank operating a green Honda Civic. Officers searched the area and located the suspect’s vehicle parked and unoccupied on Oakdale Circle. Officers found that the vehicle had been reported stolen from Durham N.C.
A further search of the area was conducted, but police were not able to locate the suspect. The suspect was described as a black male, approximately 5′ 7″ at 150 pounds wearing a dark colored ski mask, grey hooded sweat shirt, and grey sweat pants and black sneakers.
The investigation is continuing by members of the Criminal Investigations Division.
