Wray presents HFD with anniversary certificate

State Representative Michael Wray presented Henderson Fire Chief Danny Wilkerson and the Henderson City Council with a certificate recognizing Fire Station Two’s hundredth anniversary.

The presentation was made at the December 8, 2008 regular meeting of the council.

Wray remarked that it is “great to see democracy and people coming to council meetings”.

“This is your city,” Wray said.

The Assembly member explained that the certificate was not presented on the anniversary celebration day because he was running behind. He also noted that it was his first time in the new city hall, and that it is something that people and citizens should be proud of.

Wray said that he was looking forward to working with the council during the 2009-2010 general session of the North Carolina Assembly.

After the presentation of the certificate, Wilkerson presented commemorative t-shirts to Wray and members of the city council denoting the anniversary.
