On October 28, 2008, a shooting incident occurred at Henderson Heights Apartments.
The victim, Cassio Henderson, was shot several times while standing on the parking lot.
There was also damage to an apartment when a bullet struck the front door and entered the apartment, which was occupied.
After an investigation by members of the Henderson Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division, Lamarius Lewis, 25, of 937 Bridgers Street was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury with intent to kill, attempted murder, and discharging a firearm into an occupied property.
Lewis was confined in the Vance County Jail under a $150,000 bond pending a January 5, 2009 court appearance.
