As the only N.C. member of Congress serving on the exclusive Ways and Means Committee, Etheridge’s top priority for the 111th Congress will be to pass a jobs creation bill to revive the U.S. economy. Specifically, Etheridge is working to ensure the package will invest in North Carolina’s infrastructure, such as schools, roads and highways, as well as energy independence, career training and health care to generate jobs right now, and to make the economy stronger in the future
