Thursday’s open line

I don’t know about you, but I think its insulting when the Henderson City Council or any other elected body speaks in code during an open session (see the article City endorses econ. dev. partnership with county if you’re curious about what I’m talking about). I didn’t like it when I was a kid and my parents did it, and I sure as heck think it’s condescending now.

Hint: “City father” is a metaphor.

Am I the only one who feels this way? Let us know on today’s open line.
