HPD makes arrest in pawn shop theft


On April 1, 2009, a felonious larceny was reported at Hard Times Jewelry and Pawn located at 106 Dabney Drive.

The victim reported that 80 rings valued at several thousand dollars were stolen from a display case.

After an investigation by members of the Criminal Investigations Division, Ronald McMillian of 1012 Standish Street was arrested on April 3, 2009, and charged with felonious larceny, possession of stolen goods, and felony conspiracy to commit larceny.

McMillian was placed under a $100,000 bond pending an April 20, 2009 court date.
