HPD/ALE joint op polices convenience stores


On April 25, 2009, members of the Henderson Police Department’s Narcotics Unit and agents from North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement (ALE) conducted operation “Community Revitalization Mobile Enforcement”.

This was an effort to address the complaints that the police fepartment and ALE has received from citizens in our community concerning illegal activity occurring in and around local convenience stores.

The arrest information listed below is the result of this effort. The issues and complaints of this nature from citizens that affect the quality of life in the community will continue to be addressed through “Proactive Patrol” and future operations of this type.

Charges

  • Aid and abet in the purchase of alcohol – 1
  • Possess of alcohol under age – 1
  • Sell alcohol to minor – 1
  • Underage attempt to purchase – 1
  • Underage aid and abet attempt to purchase – 1
  • Consumption on off-premises establishment – 2
  • Driving while license revoked – 3
  • Expired registration – 2
  • No insurance -1
  • No operator’s license – 2
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia – 2
  • Possession of marijuana – 2
  • Possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana – 1
  • Underage attempt to purchase tobacco products – 1
  • Accepting tobacco products under 18 – 1
