Cops on Top is a program where law enforcement officers “roof-sit” to raise money for charity.
This year’s Cops on Top was held on Friday, June 12, 2009 at the Chick-fil-A restaurant on Dabney Drive in Henderson. The event was attended by County Commissioner Dan Brummitt, Vance County Sheriff Peter White, Henderson Mayor Pete O’Geary, and Henderson Police Chief Keith Sidwell.
Several law enforcement officers from both the city and the county were also present.
All told, the event raised $1,893 for the North Carolina Special Olympics as officers manned the Chick-fil-A roof from 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
