Police make arrest in burglary case, recover goods


On July 20, 2009, Naterkia Vann of Hamilton Street reported that her residence was entered by someone removing the air conditioner from a window to gain access.

Taken during the breaking and entering was a 19-inch TV, a computer, and a Play Station.

After an investigation which was conducted by members of the Henderson Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division, a search warrant was executed at 488 Merriman Street. The 19-inch TV was recovered during a search of this residence.

Arrested was Jammee Terry of 615 Vaughan Street in Henderson, North Carolina. Terry was charged with breaking and entering and larceny, possession of stolen goods, and conspiracy to commit breaking and entering. Terry was placed under a $45,000 bond pending a July 27, 2009 court appearance.

During the search, a 1999 Chevrolet Suburban which had been reported stolen from Oxford, North Carolina on July 5, 2009 was recovered in a wooded area near the residence. The investigation into the recovered vehicle is continuing.
