Etheridge statement on Obama’s NC visit

U.S. Rep. Bob Etheridge, the only N.C. member of the House Ways and Means Committee, released this statement today on the President’s visit to Raleigh, N.C. to discuss health care:

“I appreciate President Obama coming to listen to North Carolinians about the rising cost of healthcare and the need to get costs under control for working families, while improving access, increasing quality and providing peace of mind.

“We need healthcare reform that improves our economy, maintaining what works while reducing costs and improving stability for all.

“President Obama campaigned in North Carolina on the promise to reform health care. This visit gave the President an opportunity to explain how his ideas will preserve individual choice, put decisions back in the hands of medical professionals, and provide dependable, affordable, and high-quality healthcare to all Americans.
