Alleged Spring St. shooters arrested and charged
On August 3, 2009 at approximately 2:48 p.m. officers of the Henderson Police Department responded to the 500 block of Spring Street in reference to someone shot.
Arrests made in Henderson motel killing
On August 6, 2009 members of the Raleigh Police Department’s Fugitive Task Force along with members of the Henderson Police Department apprehended Tevin Lee Daye, 16, of Oakridge Church Road in Kittrell, North Carolina at an apartment complex located on Calvary Road in Raleigh, North Carolina.

** UPDATED ** The Vance County Board of Commissioners has scheduled a meeting of its Planning & Environmental Committee for Thursday, August 6, 2009 at 12:00 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss a proposed Golden LEAF grant proposal for a sewer line to run from Henderson to Kittrell. The meeting will take place in the office of County Manager Jerry Ayscue located in the County Administration Building on 122 Young Street in Henderson, North Carolina.
