Most candidates commit to attending Forum

At time of publication, the following people have committed to attending the Candidates’ Forum scheduled for Sunday, September 20, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. in the County Administration Building located at 122 Young Street in Henderson, North Carolina:

  • Lewis Edwards – Challenger

    • Ward 2 At-Large

  • Michael Inscoe – Incumbent
  • Bobby Gupton – Challenger
  • Lowell West – Challenger

  • Garry D. Daeke – Incumbent, Unopposed

  • Brenda Peace – Incumbent, Unopposed

    • Of those not attending, Mary Emma Evans and Ranger Wilkerson have stated that they have prior commitments. Mayoral candidate Tina Hunter was quoted to say in response to the invitation, “I’ll pass”. We have not been able to contact mayoral candidate Tammy Sue Lightfoot.
