Three arrests on felony larceny charges


On January 24, 2010 around 11:41 p.m., members of the Henderson Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to a call from Walmart, 200 North Cooper Drive, in reference to a larceny.

Upon the officers arrival, they were told that the suspects left on foot towards Pizza Hut on North Cooper Drive. The suspects then left Pizza Hut in silver Hyundai Sonata.

A traffic stop was conducted and the suspects were detained. Upon further investigation, the following items totaling in $1018.82 value were recovered: two Toshiba laptops, a Guitar Hero game, two Wii controllers, a man’s belt, hair gel, and four curl clips.

Suspects Jerome Manson, 19, of 179 Canthran Welbron Lane; Antoine Clack, 19, of 683 Vance Street; and Mark Crudup, 17, of 715 Highland Ave, all of Henderson, North Carolina were arrested and charged with felony possession of stolen goods. They were given a secured bond of $10,000 and remain in the Vance County Jail pending a court date of February 22, 2010.

Mark Crudup is listed as being on 24 month probation for a felony conviction on June 16, 2009 for possession of Schedule VI controlled substance. Jerome Manson was listed as being released from the Department of Corrections on September 28, 2009 for an eight month sentence for a conviction for felony larceny from the person.
