HPD arrests man for allegedly giving false name

On March 2, 2010 Anthony Darby, 52, of 1403 Ross Mill Road in Henderson, North Carolina was arrested and charged with resisting, delaying, and obstructing a government official.

The charge stems from a January 1, 2010 arrest for two failures to appear in court for not attending an assigned court date.

During the arrest, Darby provided the officer with the name of another individual and it was in that name in which the court orders were served. The suspect used a false name before in the original charges that resulted in the failure to appear court orders. These original charges were for driving without a license and failure to stop at a stop sign.
