Man arrested on shoplifting charge


On April 5, 2010 officers with the Henderson Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to Belk’s, 350 North Cooper Drive in Henderson, North Carolina, in reference to a shoplifter.

Upon arrival, the initial officer conducted an investigation and determined that camcorders and televisions with a value of $1.246 had been removed from the business.

Store loss prevention was on scene and detained the suspect prior to police arrival.

Christopher Burroughs of 3743 Warrenton Road in Henderson, North Carolina was arrested and charged with felony larceny. Burroughs was taken before a magistrate and was given a $1,200 secured bond.

Burroughs remains in the Vance County Jail pending a court hearing of June 28, 2010.
