Firearm arrest by HPD power shift bike patrol


On June 14, 2010 around 11:00 a.m. two officers with the Power Shift Unit of the Henderson Police Department were conducting bike patrol in the area of North Garnett Street in Henderson, North Carolina when a vehicle passed emitting an odor of marijuana.

Officers located the vehicle at Party Pickup, 655 North Garnett Street in Henderson.

Officers conducted an investigation and determined that the clerk, Sadam Nagi Hauter, was the operator of the vehicle. After further investigation, two grams of marijuana were seized from the vehicle and from the inside of the store. Also seized were two digital scales and a .38 caliber handgun.

Sadam Hauter was cited and released for possession of a Schedule VI Controlled Substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a firearm by a minor.

The investigation continued and Kaiser Nagi Hauter was cited for giving a firearm to a minor.
